On that occasion, Khabib, after submitting Conor, jumped over the cage of the Octagon and tried to attack one of the members of the Irishman's team. After the incident, widespread confusion broke out inside the space, with attacks between athletes and their coaches.

Dana White recently admitted that he believes in the possibility of a reunion between the fighters in a new duel. When asked about the matter, Nurmagomedov preferred not to take a position.

“I'm not thinking about that right now. I’m thinking about September 7th”, reported the athlete.

Khabib's opponent in the fight that will represent the unification of the lightweight title (up to 70,3 kg.), Dustin poirier, was also present at the scene and presented his expectations for the clash.

“This will be the biggest fight of my career. I'm very excited. I've always been the underdog, my entire career. This is just one more time,” Poirier said.

A curious moment happened when Khabib was asked if he missed fighting. Contrary to expectations, the Russian said no.

“Honestly, I don’t miss it. Of course I'm excited, but I don't miss fighting at all. This will be one of the biggest fights of my life. I'm excited for it. What excites me is being able to face great opponents”, reported Khabib.
