In an unprecedented action, UFC will be Jon Jones' main sponsor and stamps his brand on the shorts worn by the current champion of the category. Shortly after confirming the sponsorship, Evans commented on the case. Without getting into controversy, the challenger stated that the organization favors Jones.
“It looks like they picked the guy they want to support. I can't say much about it, I'll just do what I need to do. I don’t worry too much about it,” Rashad told The MMA Hour. “They are (favoring Jones), but it doesn’t matter. That doesn’t bother me,” commented Evans, in an interview with the North American program MMA Hour
