Amanda Nunes' fiancée, Nina Ansaroff dreams of taking home another belt

The North American, Nina ansaroff, bride of Amanda nunes, stated that he wants to have another UFC belt at home. In a recent interview with 'Combate', the fighter stated her desire to defeat Tatiana Suarez placeholder image, next Saturday (8), at UFC 238, to get even closer to a chance to fight for the strawweight title (up to 52,1kg.). Currently, the athlete is in third place in the category ranking.

“The better the opponent, the better I’ve been doing (in recent fights). Tatiana is the next promise. So, I’m excited to show my best version in this fight”, said Nina.

Ansaroff will face an undefeated opponent in his career. However, the athlete believes that she is prepared to withstand the pressure and end her opponent's positive streak.

I feel very good. I'm going to face another wrestler, so it's basically the same style of fight that I've been preparing for in my last three or four fights”, said the American.

If she emerges victorious, the chances of a future title fight will be closer than ever for Nina. Third in the ranking, the athlete is only behind Tatiana and Rose namajunas, who recently lost the division title to Brazilian Jessica Andrade. Rose has already stated that she wants to take a break from her fighting career. If the fact is confirmed, Ansaroff and Suarez would be potential opponents for the 'Bate-Estaca' strap.

If the long-awaited title comes, Nina will be responsible for achieving a historic feat with her partner, Amanda nunes. With the achievement, the two would be the first couple in the history of Ultimate to hold a title at the same time.

“It’s motivating. I followed everything closely. I was by her (Amanda) side the whole time and it will be really cool to have a belt like her. I don't know if I'm going to go really crazy. I'm more the type to keep these things to myself. But just winning the belt will be enough and then I can slowly leave the sport”, concluded the athlete.

Amanda nunes holds two UFC titles. The athlete became bantamweight champion (up to 61,2kg.), when she defeated Miesha Tate, in July 2016. In 2018, she moved up a category to challenge her compatriot Chris Cyborg, by the feather belt (up to 65,7). At the time, Amanda shocked the world by defeating the native of Curitiba by knockout in the first round and becoming the first woman to hold two titles in different divisions.

Currently, Nina, 33 years old, has 15 fights in professional MMA, with 10 wins and five losses. Her last performance came when she defeated the Brazilian Claudia Gadelha, by unanimous decision of the judges, in December last year, at UFC 231, in Canada.

Suarez, in turn, played seven times and was never defeated in a fight. The North American has not performed since September last year, in her victory over Carla esparza at UFC 228, in the United States.

The athletes will face each other in the last fight on the event's preliminary card.
