The Russian signed a commitment to a series of matches for the organization and, among them, an old dream could appear: the duel against Georges St Pierre. The information was disclosed by the athlete's manager, Ali Abdelaziz, in a recent interview with 'ESPN'. The Canadian hasn't fought since 2017, when he won Michael Bisping and won the middleweight belt (up to 83,9kg.).

“We tried to organize the fight with Khabib. I know Khabib wants it and I want it, but the UFC had other plans. At the point I'm at in my career, for me, it's better to do one fight at a time rather than doing multiple fights,” said Georges.

Currently, Nurmagomedov enjoys a lot of prestige with the company. In case of victory over Dustin poirier, UFC 242, in September, there is a chance that combat between athletes will once again be considered by the board.

At 30 years old, Khabib maintains an enviable record in his career. In total, he has 27 fights with triumphs on each occasion.

St. Pierre, in turn, has 28 fights, with 26 victories and only two setbacks. Georges is considered one of the best athletes in the history of MMA.
