Ultimate arrived in Stockholm, Sweden, this Saturday (14), for the UFC on Fuel TV 2. And the fight program, which featured three Brazilians in action, was not good for the Brazilian athletes. In the main fight of the night, Thiago Silva stopped at the height of Alexander Gustafson, and was beaten by the Swede in a unanimous decision by the judges.

The other Brazilians on the fight program were also unlucky: Diego Nunes was defeated by Dennis Siver in a unanimous decision by the judges, while Paulo thiago ended up being knocked out by Afghan Siyar Bahadurzada.

Called up to replace the injured Rogério Minotouro, Thiago Silva accepted the challenge of facing the Swede Alexander Gustafson at home and supported by almost 15 thousand fans. However, the Brazilian was unable to put his aggressive style into practice and stopped at the Swede's larger reach.

Right at the start of the fight, Gustafsson went on the attack and in the first few seconds managed a knockdown and took the Brazilian to the ground. Thiago managed to recover and continue the fight. But visibly out of pace, as he had been stopped for more than a year, Silva tried unsuccessfully to close the gap and stopped at Alexander's larger reach.

In the following rounds, Gustafsson continued to maintain a long distance and strike the Brazilian without much force. In the last round, knowing that he had the advantage, the Swede lowered his guard several times and rotated around the octagon to manage the advantage.

At the end of the 15 minutes of competition, Alexander Gustafson won the prize in the unanimous decision of the judges (29×28, 30×27, 30×27)
