A curious fact reported by Urijah was that he sought unexpected inspiration for his return: Conor McGregor. According to the fighter, the Irishman served as a great incentive for him to resume his career, which he abandoned in December 2016.

“Conor and I talk every now and then and he's always teasing me with his claws. The story is not over. You know how Conor is. He's hilarious. We have private conversations on occasions like this”, confessed the 'California Boy'.

Faber debuted in Ultimate in March 2011. After his commitment, the athlete performed another 15 times, winning nine and losing on six occasions; two of them for the former bantamweight champion (up to 61,2kg.), Renan Barao.

It is not yet known when the fighter's official return will take place, however, there is a desire for the athlete to be included on the UFC Sacramento card, which will take place on July 13th, in California (USA). The opponent being probed is the compatriot Ricky simon, 26 years old, former LFA (Legacy Fighting Alliance) bantamweight champion.

The last time he competed in a professional fight, Faber defeated the Englishman Brad pickett in a unanimous decision by the judges.
