Conor McGregor appears with bandaged hand and writes: 'I always go to the limit'

Irish indicates hand injury as a result of a training session; athlete hasn't fought since October last year

The former featherweight (up to 65,7kg) and lightweight (up to 70,3kg) champion Conor McGregor appeared on social media with his left hand bandaged, indicating a possible injury. The Irishman used his Instagram account to publish the image this Friday (24). According to the athlete, the injury was the result of a training session.

McGregor's career, lately, has been limited to promoting his brand of Whiskey. After his defeat to Khabib NurmagomedovIn October last year, at UFC 229, the Irishman retired from fighting, even announcing his retirement at the end of March. The athlete, however, didn't take long to regret it and return his focus to MMA.

Without fighting for more than seven months, the former champion served a six-month suspension after the confusion involving the current lineal champion of the category, Khabib. However, Conor remains without a fight scheduled to date.

Recently, McGregor made a surprise appearance at an amateur boxing charity event in Ireland. The fight ended without a winner, with the judges ruling the fight a draw.

Fans of mixed martial arts may have to wait a little longer if they want to see the athlete in action again. All possible opponents for the Irishman currently have clashes scheduled for the coming months.

Despite his latest defeat, McGregor, 30, still ranks as one of the most prestigious names in Ultimate. With 25 fights as a professional MMA athlete, the Irishman won 21 and lost in four.
