The former middleweight champion (up to 83,9kg.), Tyron woodley is out of the main fight of the UFC Minneapolis, which takes place on June 29th. The information was released by 'ESPN' journalist, Brett Okamoto, this Friday morning (17). The duel would mark the athletes' reunion almost three years after their first fight. The UFC, however, has not yet confirmed the case.

"Tyron woodley was forced to withdraw from his fight on June 29 against Robbie Lawler due to an injury, sources said. UFC is looking for a replacement to keep Lawler on the Minneapolis card,” Brett posted on his Twitter account.
The duel between the two former champions of the division would mark Woodley's attempt to rise again in the category after losing the category belt to the Nigerian Kamaru Usman, at UFC 235, in March this year. The athletes already faced each other in 2016, when Lawler was defeated by knockout by his compatriot in the welterweight title fight.
According to 'ESPN', Woodley suffered a hand injury and is expected to undergo tests next week. The athlete already underwent surgery on one of his hands last year.
Currently, Tyron occupies the first position in the division, while Lawler is in 10th place and was looking for a good victory to return to the top of the category. Like Woodley, Robbie is also coming off a defeat in his career and victory in the rematch against a well-ranked opponent could help him return to the top 5.
