the experienced Neil Magny was caught in the anti-doping test and removed from UFC Rochester, which takes place this Saturday (18). To replace Magny, the UFC board decided to give an opportunity to American Derrik Kranz. With 24 wins and 10 losses in his career, Ultimate newcomer Derrik is on a good streak of four consecutive victories and arrives as an underdog to try and ruin Vicente's party.

Vincent Luque was born in the United States, but is the son of a Brazilian mother. The athlete, like his new opponent, is fighting to increase his winning streak, which also has four matches. In Ultimate since 2015, Luque currently ranks 15th in the category. Magny, an opponent scheduled before the doping case, was in 13th.

Neil's withdrawal from the card frustrated the Brazilian's plans to improve his position in the division.

Yesterday afternoon, Neil Magny spoke about the removal from the event through a social network.

“Throughout my MMA career I have been very transparent. I'm not afraid to admit when I'm wrong. On Saturday (11), I received an email from USADA (United States Anti-Doping Agency) stating that I was caught after an exam during the competition period”, wrote the athlete.

Magny said he is cooperating with USADA's investigations and hopes that everything will be clarified as soon as possible.

“I have always been a strict supporter of drug testing in the UFC. I know that, without a doubt, I did everything in accordance with the Agency's rules. I have faith that the situation will be resolved in a timely manner and that I will be acquitted”, concluded the athlete.

As many of you know, I had to withdraw from my scheduled bout against Vicente Luque on Saturday, May 18th. I want to apologize to him, as I know how difficult it is to lose an opponent days out from a fight. Throughout my MMA career I have been very transparent. I am not afraid to admit when I am in the wrong. On Saturday, May 11, 2019, I received an email from USADA stating that I have been flagged due to an “out of competition drug test”. The flag was due to a metabolite of the substance “Di-Hydroxy-LGD-4033”. I have fully cooperated with USADA thus far to determine how this substance was found in the sample I provided them on May 5, 2019. I have always been an advocate for the strict drug testing in the UFC, even to the extent of opting for my collected samples to be used for research purposes by USADA. I know without a doubt that I have done everything according to the standards set by USADA. I have faith in USADA that this situation will resolve in a timely manner and that I will be cleared of any wrong doing. To all of my fans and supporters, thank you. I assure you that I have not let you down.
