Veteran heavyweight (up to 120,2kg) Aleksey Oleinik received a 180-day medical suspension following his defeat to the Dutchman alistair overeem at the UFC Saint Petersburg held last weekend. The list containing the athletes' time off was released to the 'MMA Junkie' website last Wednesday (25). Overeem received the minimum leave time.

Oleinik was, together with featherweight (up to 65,7kg.) Sung Woo Choi, the fighter who will be sidelined for the longest time, according to the local athletic commission. Choi was defeated in the last fight of the preliminary card by Movsar Evloev in a fight that was decided on the judges' scores and received a 180-day medical suspension.
Two Brazilian athletes participated in the card. Marcelo Golm, who suffered yet another defeat in Ultimate, received a 45-day suspension, while Alex Leko, who made his debut with the organization, was away for a week.
