In his last fight, Ray moved up a category. Previously, the athlete was among the flyweights. In March, however, Borg tried his luck in the bantamweight category (up to 61,2kg). Even though he was fighting in a higher category, the fighter failed to make the weight cut, was punished and, what's more, he was defeated in the fight against Casey kenney, UFC Philadelphia.

Borg, 25 years old, stated that he has adopted a new lifestyle, which will bring benefits to his performance within the UFC. The fighter comes from two consecutive defeats in the organization. The penultimate, for the title fight in the flyweight division against the former champion, Demetrious Johnson.

“Since I got home after my last fight, I've made some drastic changes to my lifestyle habits. I used to be very careless with my diet and would fail to spend time in the gym between fights, which turned training periods into weight cutting sessions. I took my career to a whole new level mentally, and started taking the steps so that my training is cutting weight and fighting (simultaneously)”, concluded Ray.

Ray Borg has a record of 15 fights, 11 wins and four losses.
