Edson Barboza was suspended for 90 days by the Pennsylvania Athletic Commission. The fighter was knocked out by the American Justin gaethje last Saturday (30th), at UFC Philadelphia, and will only be able to return to the octagon at the end of June.
The Brazilian's retirement would have been the biggest among all the fighters on the card, if it weren't for Paul Craig and Jessica Aguilar, who were suspended indefinitely.

Edson was defeated by the North American, Justin gaethje, while Jessica succumbed to the Brazilian Marina Rodriguez, in the strawweight category. Already Paul Craig heroically won his fight against the Nigerian Kennedy Nzechukwu, in the light heavyweight division.
Besides Marina Rodriguez, another Brazilian participated in the event in the United States. Sheymon Moraes faced the American Sodiq Yussuf and was defeated in a featherweight duel. Both Rodriguez and Moraes received 45-day suspensions.
Medical suspension prevents future problems for athletes and allows everyone to return to training only when they are fully capable of fighting.
