Júnior Cigano enters the top 3 of heavyweights after victory at UFC Wichita

Brazilian fighter jumped from seventh to third place in the heavyweight rankings and was close to the chance to challenge champion Daniel Cormier

The victory over Derrick Lewis, last Saturday (09), in the main fight of UFC Wichita, replaced junior gypsy in the fight for the heavyweight belt. Proof of this is that the Brazilian climbed the category ranking after the triumph. He jumped from seventh position to occupy the number three spot.

Now, Cigano is only behind the North American Stipe Miocic (1st) and Cameroonian Francis Ngannou (2nd) on the list of challengers for the belt Daniel Cormier. In turn, after the setback, Lewis dropped from third to fifth place.

Brazil's other victor in the UFC Wichita wasn't as lucky as junior gypsy. Even with his seventh consecutive victory against the tough Curtis Millender, the man from Paraná Elizeu Capoeira remained in 14th position among welterweights (up to 77,1 kg). Still in this division, the North American Anthony Rocco Martin, who defeated Serginho Moraes in the attraction, he took 15th place from Brasiliense Vincent Luque and debuted in the ranking.
