The confusion between Khabib Nurmagomedov e Conor McGregor at UFC 229, in October, came to an end this Tuesday (29). The Nevada Athletic Commission, the entity responsible for sanctioning the event, judged the athletes for the fight after the fight. The fighters who could receive a long suspension had the biggest penalty in their pockets and were penalized with a hefty fine.

Khabib, who was considered by the commission to be the cause of the friction, was fined US$500, around R$1,850 million at the current rate. Furthermore, he was paid 'only' nine months, but he can return to compete in six months if he takes 'anti-bullying action'.
In turn, McGrregor paid a much more modest fine: US$50, approximately R$180, plus a six-month suspension.
As the penalties are retroactive to the day of the event, October 6th, fighters may already be released to fight on April 6th.

Afterwards, he jumped over the bars of the Octagon and attacked Dillon Danis, McGregor's jiu-jitsu coach. At the same time, Zubaira Tukhugov, Nurmagomedov's training partner, invaded the octagon and attacked Conor from behind. A disturbance broke out in the octagon and the police had to intervene.
