Bellator's sixth season begins with a title fight and featherweight tournament

The sixth season of Bellator, one of the strongest organizations in world MMA, begins this Friday night. O Bellator 60 will kick off with the featherweight belt dispute and the first phase of the tournament in the same category.

In the main fight, the champion Joe Warren will put his title on the line for the first time against Pat curran, who won the challenger position by winning the 2011 summer season tournament. The winner already has a challenger waiting: the Brazilian Patricio pitbull, champion of the fourth season tournament.

Marlon sandro e Alexandre “Popo” Heifer are the two Brazilians involved in the card main event, in fights valid for the quarter-finals of the featherweight tournament. They will face Americans Roberto Vargas and Kenny Foster, respectively. Foster replaces Junior PQD, who didn't make the 145-pound mark at yesterday's official weigh-ins and is out of the tournament.
