The Brazilian Ronaldo Jacare proved, this Friday (3), that he can regain the Strikeforce middleweight belt. In action at the event held in the city of Columbus, in the United States, the black belt showed great progress in his striking against Bristol Marunde, but ended the fight with his specialty: jiu-jitsu. After dominating the first two rounds of the stand-up fight, the Brazilian took the fight to the ground in the third round, where he landed a katagatame and forced the North American to give up the duel.
“I'm happy, it's what I like to do. I get upset when they leave me without a fight, it's always a pleasure to fight at my home, Strikeforce”, said Jacaré, after the victory. The Brazilian took advantage of the microphones to demonstrate his desire to face Luke Rockhold, an opponent who beat him in September 2011 and took the organization's belt from the Tupiniquim athlete. “I'm hungry to fight. If it's with the Luke Rockhold, even better".
Rousey submits Tate and wins belt
In the main fight of the event, the beautiful Miesha Tate e Ronda Rousey they dueled for the women's bantamweight belt. After much provocation before the duel, the challenger Ronda showed all her ability in the ground fight and at the end of the first round she secured an arm-bar, which forced the previously champion to give up the fight.
