Thiago Pitbull is a welterweight known for needing to cut a lot of weight at weigh-ins and regain much of it for fights. Because of this, on two occasions he was unable to make weight for the category.
A client of nutritionist and former fighter Mike Dolce, Pitbull once again showed results similar to those from the time he trained with André Benkei at American Top Team. The Ceará native weighed 170,5 pounds (77,3kg), half a pound below the welterweight division's tolerance, at the official weigh-in of the UFC On FX 2, which will take place this Friday:

Leaving the weigh-in, the process of regaining weight for the fight began. Pitbull's idea was to enter the Octagon weighing at least 87kg this Friday. According to Dolce's Twitter, the goal has already been exceeded: three hours after weighing in, Thiago weighed 197,6 pounds (89,6kg).
