“I still drink. I also smoke marijuana from time to time. I’m tired of trying to hide that I am… (…). I don't (drink) a crazy amount. Some weekends, especially weekends,” Jones admitted.

'Bones' was caught in three doping tests for using cocaine and steroids. In addition, Jones also caused a traffic accident involving three vehicles, which injured a pregnant woman who was driving one of the cars. This year, the former light heavyweight champion entered a rehabilitation clinic. Even so, Jones admitted that he was still unable to reach abstinence after leaving the scene.

“It’s something I was striving for, especially going into rehab last summer. I was trying hard to be completely sober, but I'm not ready for that. It's not who I was and it's not who I am in my life and in my career. I'm at a place where I can be honest with myself, but being in this place has definitely matured me a lot,” said Jon.

The confrontation with Gustaffson will be 'Bones' first after being suspended for 15 months by USADA. His last performance was in July 2017, when he knocked out Daniel Cormier and regained the belt, but his title was stripped after being caught in an anti-doping test. The North American defended his title on eight occasions, beating fighters like Mauritius Shogun, Lyoto Machida, Vitor belfort e Glover Teixeira.
