Anderson teases McGregor: 'I think he's scared of losing'

With an eye on his return fight to the octagon, the Brazilian once again provoked the Irishman into a fight during a live broadcast on social media

Anderson Silva the days until the 12-month suspension imposed by the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) ends. On November 10th 'Spider' will be released to return to activities. Focused on his return, the Brazilian intensified his training and once again provoked Conor McGregor.

On Wednesday (31), Anderson held a live broadcast on Instagram to show his training to his fans. In the end, 'Spider' needled Conor again.

“I challenged Conor, but no one else spoke about it. I think he's scared of losing, supposedly, to an old man. But I’m there!”, said the former middleweight champion.

In an interview before the confrontation with Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229, McGregor showed interest in fighting the Brazilian and called him a 'legend'. Anderson challenged Conor to a catchweight superfight the next day. Since then, Silva has been trying to make the fight happen, but the loud-mouthed Irishman has so far not commented on the possible meeting.

At 43, Anderson Silva hasn't fought since February 2017 when he won Derek Brunson at UFC 208. In his career the Brazilian has 34 triumphs, eight setbacks and one unsuccessful fight.
