The uncle of Khabib Nurmagomedov, Alex Nurmagomedov declared that the UFC had offered US$15 million for the lightweight champion to accept a rematch with Conor McGregor. However, the fighter had declined the offer as he would like a confrontation with Tony Ferguson before retirement. This Tuesday (16), the president of the franchise, Dana White, denied having made a million-dollar offer to the Russian fighter.
White posted on Instagram: “This story is bullshit #1.” In the comments of the post, Khabib confirmed Dana's observation. “Everything got out of control. Lots of bullshit news,” said 'Eagle'.
As a result, a potential rematch between Khabib and McGregor could continue to be agreed upon by Ultimate. However, the organization will have to await judgment from the Nevada State Athletic Commission. The body will analyze the fighters' participation in the widespread fight after the main fight of UFC 229.
