Not long ago, USADA made a change to its rules and no longer announces exam failures until the investigation and judgment process of each case has been completed. Therefore, the fact was not disclosed by the regulatory body and the fighter is under no obligation to reveal the case.

One of the revelations of Ultimate, O'Malley at 23 years old is undefeated in his career. To date, the North American has accumulated 10 triumphs in his record. On three occasions they were in the UFC against Alfred Khashakyan (Contender Series), Terrion Ware and Andre Soukhamthath.

Post by Sean O'Malley to his fans on his Instagram:

“Hey guys, Sugar Show here… I wanted to be the first to let you know what’s going on. As many of you saw, the UFC announced over the weekend that they will no longer announce potential violations of the USADA program, due to the high number of unintended use cases, and will wait until the end (to announce). I'm caught in one of those exact cases right now. Although under the new policy my case will not be made public now, I feel it is important to be honest and open with my fans about why I will not be fighting next weekend. I'm working with Jeff Novitzky at the UFC and I believe we've already identified a diet supplement that would have caused this. We sent the remaining samples from the jar I took to the USADA lab, plus a fully sealed jar. I was told that testing these supplements can take up to 30 days. I will continue to update you on all the findings, but I hope the results are what I already know, that I didn't do anything on purpose,” wrote O'Malley, in addition to regretting not being able to fight at UFC 229 and assuring that he has no intention of “cheating”.
