Shane Del Rosario is yet another heavyweight to leave Strikeforce for the UFC

On December 15th, the president of the strike force Scott Coker had announced that the heavyweight category would be abolished of the organization. Since then, the stampede of athletes to the UFC, an event that is controlled by Zuffa, the same company that owns Strikeforce.

Fabricio Werdum anticipated the announcement and confirmed the change, including informing that he already had a defined opponent: he will face Roy Nelson at UFC 143.

Days later it was time to Wash Johnson make the change. He will face Joey Beltran in the UFC on FOX 2, on January 28th. Five more days passed for the UFC to inform that Chad griggs will face Travis Browne in the UFC 145 in March.

Today it was time to Shane del rosario (photo above). The undefeated kickboxers was announced today as a new member of the UFC heavyweight roster. The fighter does not yet have a set date or opponent for his debut. Del Rosario has 11 fights, all won by knockout or submission, 10 of them in the round initial.
