Junior Gypsy gave good news to fans this Monday. Through his Twitter account, the UFC heavyweight champion said that his recovery from knee surgery is looking good:
The Santa Catarina native injured the meniscus in his left knee a few days before fighting for the belt against the then champion Cain Velazquez. Cigano underwent reconstructive surgery in early December.
Also through the microblog, the champion said he was going to Las Vegas, where on Friday he will meet his first challenger, who will be defined in the main fight of the UFC 141 between the former UFC champion Brock Lesnar and the last holder of the belt in Strikeforce alistair overeem.
