The reality show Dana White's Contender Series Brasil – In search of a chance at UFC” will make its debut on Friday (24), at 19pm on Combate and Combate Play. The Brazilian version of the program will have three episodes, with five fights and will bring together 30 MMA athletes. Globo will show a reduced version of the attraction, presented by Felipe Andreoli, starting on Saturday (25), after 'Zero1'.
In the program, UFC president Dana White, Rodrigo Minotauro and matchmakers Sean Shelby and Mick Maynard go in search of Brazilian talents. At the end of each episode of the “Contender Series”, it will be defined which athletes will have a contract with Ultimate.
“MMA continues to grow here in Brazil and we have a series of new names and great athletes who have not yet had the opportunity to reach the UFC. This program will give us another opportunity to bring talents that have the potential to – who knows – become champions one day. I'm sure Brazilian fans will love 'Contender Brasil'”, he said Rodrigo Minotauro, Ultimate ambassador in Brazil.
The fights will be in the men's and women's categories and are regulated by the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC).
