Ultimate wants a rematch between Rockhold and Weidman at UFC 230 in New York

With the future of the middleweight division planned, Ultimate wants to include Borrachinha x Romero and Weidman x Rockhold on the event card in November in New York

Ultimate seems to have the future of the organization's middleweights mapped out. After announcing the division champion, Robert whittaker e Kelvin Gastelum as TUF 28 coaches and Paulo borrachinha e Yoel romero at UFC 230, now it was the turn of the former IA champions, Chris Weidman e Luke Rockhold. According to information from the American ESPN, Ultimate wants to hold a rematch between the former title holders in November, at Madison Square Garden, in New York.

The former middleweight champion, Luke Rockhold hasn't fought since February when he was knocked out by Yoel romero At UFC 221. He is currently ranked second in the category. With a record of 20 fights, with 16 wins and four losses in MMA. The American defeated Weidman, in December 2015, by technical knockout in the fourth round.

Chris Weidman, also a former title holder, was coming off three consecutive defeats, to Rockhold, Yoel romero e Gegard Mousasi. In his last fight in July this year, 'All American' defeated Kelvin Gastelum No. UFC Long Island. He currently occupies third place in the category ranking.
