“I didn't fight for a long time, I spent a year out, I faced Miocic, then I spent another year out and faced this very tough guy. Thank you Ivanov, you deserve to be in the UFC. I’ll be even better next time”, stated Cigano still in the cage.

In addition to Cigano, Brazil had two other representatives at the show. On the preliminary card, Raoni barcelos debuted in the octagon in style and defeated Kurt holobaugh by knockout in the third round. Already Jennifer maia, who was also making her first appearance in Ultimate, was surpassed by veteran Liz Carmouche.

In a long-awaited round, Cigano beats Ivanov

The long period away from the octagon made junior gypsy return to the form that established him in the Octagon. After being cleared of the doping case, the Brazilian showed his old boxing skills. Before Blagoy Ivanov, he took the center of the cage, varied his hand strikes on the waist line and face and even risked some kicks. In turn, the Bulgarian tried to respond with short counterattacks.

In the second round, the Brazilian abused blows on Ivanov's belt line and even risked plastic blows like a beautiful round kick. Halfway through the session, he returned to combining punches to the waistline and face.

Without putting Cigano in any danger, Ivanov tried to open the game in the third round. But the Brazilian showed good movement, avoided his rival's attacks and quickly took control of the dispute again. The best moment of the partial was a direct shot that went straight into the Bulgarian's face.

With Ivanov already quite weakened, Cigano decided to control the dispute from the fourth round onwards. The Brazilian did not expose himself to risk and only attacked safely. He even tried to take down the Bulgarian, but without success.

In the last round, Ivanov, showing a lot of heart, walked forward in search of the knockout. But Cigano, with greater reach, abused his jabs to keep his rival away from the risk area. The Brazilian abused his movement, connected some blows and took the fight with a unanimous decision from the judges.

'Dana White's Sweetheart' suffers, but wins

In the second most important fight at UFC Boise, Sage Northcutt, known for being 'Dana White's favorite', president of the UFC, struggled to beat Zak Ottow. At the beginning of the dispute, Sage went all out, but received a hard blow from the encounter and fell. Ottow went up and dominated until almost the end of the first round.

In the second round, however, Northcutt came back ready to make up the difference. During the exchange of blows, he connected with a cross to Ottow's face, who fell to the ground. The 'Super Sage' went up and with several punches from above forced the referee to stop the fight and declare a technical knockout.
