Paulo borrachinha in his UFC debut he won by technical knockout over Garreth McLellan and achieved performance of the night. Since then, he has scored two more KO victories, one of them over former UFC welterweight champion, John hendricks. On August 07th, the Minas Gerais native puts his unbeaten record in MMA on the line against Uriah Hall at UFC 226 and still claims he can knock out any middleweight fighter.
“I'm only thinking about this fight now, I'm not even thinking about later. I think about this fight, about knocking him out quickly… I believe we can knock out practically everyone in this category. See the Luke Rockhold as a great opponent up front, but now he is moving up a category. I think that in this category there is no striker who can stop me”, said Borrachinha in an interview with the website “Combate.com”.

Currently, Paulo borrachinha He is ranked eleventh in the middleweight category, but believes that a good victory could put him close to the Top 5.
“A win puts me very close to the top 5. If it doesn't put me there, it puts me very close. But I don't think it's just any victory, it has to be a knockout or submission. So whoever manages to dominate the fight well, gets a good result. You can advance faster, that’s what I try to do in every fight”, concluded the Brazilian.
