The karateka Michelle Waterson will try to get back on the winning path after having a good streak interrupted by Rose namajunas. The North American will face her compatriot Tecia torres at UFC 218, an event that will take place in Detroit, on December 2nd. The information is from the North American ESPN website. Waterson hasn't fought since April, when she was defeated by Namajunas, who will fight for the title against Joanna Jedrzejczyk at UFC 217 in November. Unlike her next opponent, Torres is coming off a winning streak – she defeated Ju Thai in July, earning the first submission of her career against the Brazilian, in addition to beating Bec Rawlings in February.

“Tecia has been challenging me since her last fight. I'm just trying to give her what she wants. It will be a great fight”, Waterson quickly commented in an interview with North American ESPN.

UFC 218 will have as its main attraction the duel between Max Holloway e Frankie Edgar valid for the featherweight title that the Hawaiian won over José Aldo, in June. In the co-main event, the heavyweights Francis Ngannou e alistair overeem face each other for the right to challenge the category champion Stipe Miocic. Lightweight duels are also highlights of the card, with To the fifth facing up Paul felder e Justin gaethje measuring forces with former category champion Eddie Alvarez.
