The fight between the heavyweights Walt Harris and Mark Godbeer was rescheduled for UFC 217 on November 4th, after being canceled at the last minute at UFC 216 on October 7th. The cancellation took place after Derrick Lewis get hurt on the day of the event. With that, Harris was recruited to face Fabricio Werdum in the main portion of the show, leaving Godbeer without an opponent. The Brazilian had no trouble overcoming “The Big Ticket”, submitting the North American in 65 seconds, using an armbar.

As Harris was not injured in his duel with Werdum, the fight with Godbeer will now take place at UFC 217. The information comes from the North American website MMA Junkie. Englishman Godbeer received his full salary despite not having fought at UFC 216. He will enter his duel with Harris trying to start a winning streak after beating Daniel Spitz, by unanimous decision, in March this year. Harris, on the other hand, had his two-win streak interrupted by Werdum. “Big Ticket” came from triumphs over Chase sherman and Cyril Asker, both by knockout.
