After Glover Teixeira's departure from the card, Ultimate acted quickly and confirmed another Brazilian in the UFC Sao Paulo, which will take place on October 28th, at the Ibirapuera gym. Its about Peter Munhoz, which will face Rob font, in a duel valid for the rooster division (up to 61kg).

Munhoz, 31 years old, has three consecutive victories in the category, the last of which was over Damian Stasiak at UFC Stockholm, in May this year, by unanimous decision. Number 12 in the bantamweight rankings, he has 15 triumphs and two setbacks on his record (5-2 in Ultimate).
Font, in turn, has accumulated four triumphs – three knockouts and one submission – and one setback for the franchise. He beat George Roop, Joey Gomez, Matt schnell and more recently the Brazilian Douglas D'Silva – his defeat was against the Brazilian John Lineker. At 30 years old, he has a record with 14 wins and two negative results.
O UFC Sao Paulo, the organization's last event in Brazil in 2017, will see the return of Lyoto Machida, suspended for the last 18 months. The former light heavyweight champion faces Derek Brunson in the main fight of the show, in a middleweight duel. Also in action will be names like Demian Maia, Antonio Shoe Guy e Thiago Marreta, who face Colby covington, Jack Marshman and Jack hermanssonrespectively.
