After overcoming injury, Minotouro catches Cannonier at UFC Norfolk

Light heavyweight duel will serve as the second most important attraction of the event on November 11th

The light heavyweight Rogério Minotouro will have his first fight in almost a year at UFC Norfolk on November 11th. After defeat to Ryan bader No. UFC Sao Paulo last year, the Brazilian will return to the octagon against the French Jared Cannonier, in the co-main fight of the event. The information is from the Combate channel website. Minotauro's brother is the third Brazilian confirmed on the show – Marcel Fortuna will test his strength with Jake collier on the same night, while Cézar Mutante fights Nate Marquardt.

Minotouro would face Ilir Latifi at UFC Oklahoma in June this year, but suffered a neck injury and was forced to withdraw from the event, which saw the lightweight lightweight win controversially Kevin Lee about Michael chiesa in the main fight. Before the setback to Bader, Minoto was coming off a stunning victory over Patrick Cummins at UFC 198 in May 2016. Before that, he lost to Mauricio Shogun in a rematch at UFC 190.
