The Brazilian Chris Cyborg won the Ultimate featherweight title less than two weeks ago but is already making plans for his first belt defense. And she wants to face Holly holm, former holder of the bantamweight title, at UFC 219, which is scheduled for Las Vegas, on December 30th, in the last event the company will organize in 2017. Cris had requested a duel against Holly for UFC 218, but changed his mind and now intends to fight at the traditional farewell show of the year.

Through his social networks, Cyborg posted a montage in which he faced Holm and revealed that he had already tried to match the duel against the American on two other occasions, but she refused due to not having enough time to train for the fight.
“I just spoke to my manager and told him that I want to face Holly holm at UFC 219 in Las Vegas. If you want to see this fight on New Year's Eve, now is the time to message the UFC. Brazil, I want to face the fighter who won the Round! Send your messages to the UFC”, declared Cris, asking for support from his fans to use social media to demand this duel.
Despite coming from a victory against Bethe Correia, Holly holm is not in a good phase. Since she beat Ronda in November 2015, she has lost three of her last four fights. It was completed by Miesha Tate, and surpassed by Valentina Shevchenko e Germaine DeRandamie by decision. This last fight was for the featherweight belt. After becoming champion, GDR refused to face Cyborg and was stripped of the title.
