The Brazilian Rani Yaya He did well at UFC Fight Night México, an event held this Saturday night (05), in the Mexican capital. The country's only representative on the show took no notice of Enrique Briones, submitted his rival in just 2 minutes and silenced the local fans. The result marked Rani's 24th victory as a professional, who took advantage of the triumph to ask for a fight at UFC Japan, in September.

“I would like to have a fight in Japan, where I spent part of my career. I've had many Japanese competitors, and that's my wish,” said the Brazilian black belt.
The fight
Willing to erase the defeat in his last performance, Rani started the duel against Enrique Briones with everything. He needed just 20 seconds to close the distance and take the Mexican to the ground. At home in the ground fight, the Brazilian quickly tried to submit with a north-south choke.
Briones managed to defend himself, but he left his arm exposed. Rani didn't miss the opportunity, stretching out his rival's arm and forcing the Mexican to give up.
With victory, Rani Yaya recovered from his loss to Joe Soto in March. Now, the Brasilia native has 24 wins and nine losses as a professional.
