The output of Anderson Silva of UFC 212 was made official by the organization this Thursday (11), a few days after the fighter himself informed his fans that he was out of the edition. Ultimate revealed, through an official statement, that fans who purchased tickets for the event and no longer want to use them after the former champion was removed from the card, can be reimbursed by the company that handles ticket sales for the show.

On its official website, UFC Brasil explains in detail what the return procedure should be and reiterates that it tried to find an opponent to replace Kelvin Gastelum against the Brazilian. The North American middleweight was removed from UFC 212 after testing positive for marijuana use in a test carried out during his fight against Vitor belfort, in March. Kelvin received a three-month suspension, was fined 20% of his salary and ended up having his victory over Fenômeno turned into a No Contest fight.

“After the withdrawal of Kelvin Gastelum of the UFC 212 card: Aldo x Holloway and his fight against Anderson Silva was cancelled, the UFC looked for a replacement to face the Brazilian on June 3rd. However, it was not possible to find a new opponent for the former middleweight champion in a short period of time, also causing his departure from the event taking place at the Jeunesse Arena, in Rio de Janeiro.
With the withdrawal of Anderson Silva of the UFC 212 card, customers who wish may request the cancellation of their unused ticket and request a refund until 18/05/2017. To cancel purchases made at ticket offices or points of sale, the customer must go to the purchase channel with the original tickets. For purchases made with a credit card, the amount will be credited to the invoice of the card used for the purchase. For purchases made with a debit card, the amount will be credited to the account linked to the debit card used for the purchase.
To cancel purchases made via the internet or call center, the customer must contact us via the page https://atendimento.tudus.com.br/hc/pt-br/requests/new, Category Cancellation, Subject UFC212.
Important: It is not possible to partially cancel a purchase. When requesting cancellation, all tickets purchased in the same payment will be cancelled. For cancellations via the box office, all tickets from the same purchase must be returned together. The seats will be put back on sale and may be repurchased.”
