The New Zealander Robert whittaker was the big upset at UFC Kansas this Saturday (15). The middleweight did not take notice of the favorite Ronaldo Jacare and knocked out the Brazilian in the second round, after dominating the initial round. The result, including earned 'The Reaper' the Performance of the Night bonus.

After surviving the Brazilian black belt's ground in the first round, Whittaker took control of the fight and, at the beginning of the second round, landed a straight right that rocked Jacaré. The Brazilian fell, but tried to survive. Soon after, however, the New Zealander hit a new sequence and took down the Amazonian again. From then on, he started throwing elbows until referee Mario Yamasaki stopped the fight.
