After just 10 seconds of fighting, Nehm was knocked out and Brink left the scene to celebrate the victory. However, the American lightweight got up and, still groggy, mistook Brink for the fight referee and went in to submit him. Nehm got behind the fight mediator's back and threw a few punches, before being stopped by members of his own team, who invaded the cage upon seeing him in action, even after being knocked out.
With the defeat, Nehm, who already had a negative record, now has triple the number of defeats compared to victories – three setbacks and one triumph, achieved in his professional debut, according to the website “Tapology”. Brink, winner of the fight, has three wins and one loss.
