Kelvin Gastelum scored his third consecutive victory at middleweight (up to 84 kg.) by knocking out Vitor belfort in the main fight of UFC Fortaleza, an event held last Saturday (11), in the capital of Ceará. But after the most important triumph of his career, the North American sets his sights on a duel against another Brazilian legend: Anderson Silva

“I said I wanted a fight that interested me and Anderson is a guy who would interest me a lot. It's a combination of many things. A big name, another legend, ranked above me. And eventually I can win the title shot if I win,” said Gastelum.

Gastelum vs Anderson at UFC Rio?

Gastelum's desire is to face Anderson Silva still in 2017, in the next edition of the show in Brazil: at UFC Rio, on June 3rd.

“I liked fighting here (in Brazil). As they say, I felt at home. I want to fight again in Brazil, I really enjoyed the experience, I want to fight in Rio in June, he concluded.

Kelvin Gastelum, 25 years old, has an MMA record of 14 wins and just two losses. The North American won the 17th edition of TUF, the UFC's reality show, at welterweight (up to 77 kg.). But after struggling to reach the category limit, he moved up to the middleweight division and is undefeated, with three victories in a row.
