Another fighter was caught by USADA (United States Anti-Doping Agency) for a possible violation of the company's anti-doping policy. This is light heavyweight Ben Rothwell, who was scheduled to fight against Fabricio Werdum at UFC 211, which will be held on May 13, in Dallas (USA). The organization is looking for a new opponent for Werdum.

According to the statement, USADA has a process in which the fighter will have space to defend himself before any possible sanctions. The substance that tested positive in the test was not revealed. Through his social networks, Rothwell clarified the episode and asked not to be judged hastily.
“With the news received from USADA, I would like to tell everyone that I am undergoing medical treatment trying to overcome an illness. I would like to ask for the chance to show that I did not cheat or intend to cheat. Please hold your opinions on me until all the facts come out. I would like everyone’s support as I go through the process with USADA”, said the fighter.
Ben Rothwell, 35 years old, has been in the UFC since 2009, when he debuted after being knocked out by Cain Velazquez. Since then, he has had nine more fights, recording six wins and three losses. His most recent performance was in the defeat against Junio Cigano, in April 2016.
