New heavyweight sensation, Francis Ngannou is on the rise in the organization. After knocking out Andrei Arlovski at UFC Denver, held last Saturday (28), and racking up his fifth consecutive victory in the organization - all via the fast track -, the Cameroonian, currently 10th in the rankings, already knows who he wants to face in his next fight: the former champion Cain Velazquez.

“I'm talking about Junior dos Santos (Cigano) and alistair overeem, but I'm talking about them because I think the Cain Velazquez is injured. If he's okay, I'm ready to face him. He’s next, the next one I want to face”, analyzed the fighter, shortly after his most recent victory.

The injury Francis refers to is the same one that prevented Velasquez from having his rematch against Fabricio Werdum, last December. Cain recently underwent back surgery, but is still unsure about returning to the Octagon.

At 28 years old, Ngannou has a professional record with ten wins and just one defeat. In Ultimate since December 2015, he has beaten the five opponents he faced in the organization: Luis Henrique KLB, Curtis blaydes, Bojan Mihajlović, Anthony Hamilton and Andrei Arlovski.
