UFC welterweight champion Tyron woodley seems interested in different fights. After provoking the lightweight champion, Conor McGregor, the victim of the “Chosen One” challenge has now been Michael Bisping, owner of the Ultimate middleweight belt.
Woodley and Bisping met backstage at UFC 207 last Saturday (30), and the welterweight asked the Brit what his weight was at the moment. Bisping did not respond immediately and Woodley soon called for a fight between the two at the intermediate weight of 180 lbs (81,6 kg.) – this way, neither of the two titles would be on the line. The middleweight champion did not hesitate and accepted the proposal immediately.
The two fighters, however, may face resistance to get the superfight. The UFC wants to give a rematch to Stephen Thompson, who drew with Woodley at UFC 205; while among the middleweights the Brazilian Ronaldo Jacare and the Cuban Yoel romero hope for a title shot.
