The 11 fights that were scheduled for the show will be relocated to future UFC attractions. A new visit to the Philippines will be scheduled soon, although the organization's entire schedule is already closed for 2016. Furthermore, all athletes who were supposed to perform on the card will be financially compensated for the cancellation.

This is the third time in UFC history that an event has been canceled entirely following problems in its main event. In 2012, Dan Henderson was injured shortly before the fight he would have with Jon Jones and UFC 151 didn't happen. It was the same case as UFC 176, which would have José Aldo x Chad Mendes and which was canceled after the Brazilian was injured.
