Michael Johnson rockets up UFC rankings after victory against Poirier

The victories of Michael Johnson e Derek Brunson about Dustin poirier and Uria Hall, respectively, caused important changes in the UFC rankings. In the lightweight category, Johnson jumped four positions and is now sixth on the list, while Poirier dropped three and is in tenth place. Edson Barboza e Donald Cerrone they also fell one step each. The Brazilian is fifth and 'Cowboy' is seventh. In the middleweight division, Brunson jumped Gegard Mousasi and Hall and currently sits in eighth place.

Another highlight was the bantamweight Jimmie rivera, that even without fighting last weekend – he won Urijah faber at UFC 203, on the 10th of this month – climbed two steps, reaching the top 5 in the division, leaving behind cody garbrandt and Faber himself. In the same list, Brazilian John Lineker gained a position and is third, surpassing Bryan caraway.

The other changes were in the featherweight and welterweight divisions. In the weight range up to 66kg, Yair Rodrigues and Hacran Dias swapped places, and now the Mexican is number 11, while the Brazilian is 12. Among the welterweights, Lorenz Larkin, previously ninth in the rankings, swapped positions with Neil Magny, whom he recently beat, and is in eighth.
