the return of Ronda Rousey to the Octagon continues to be a topic among people linked to the sport. A few days after Dana White, president of the UFC, declared that he believes in the possibility of Rousey returning to fight in 2016, against Amanda nunes, current bantamweight champion, Don Frye, former Ultimate fighter and member of the UFC Hall of Fame, gave a less than optimistic statement regarding the North American's future in the sport.
“No, she’s not coming back. She will never fight again. She was used to dealing with fans and now she can't anymore. If she wants to come back, she should have a rematch with Holly holm. And then, if she beats Holly, then she would have a title shot. But if she gets her ass kicked like she already has, she doesn't deserve a title fight,” said Frye, in an interview with 'Submission' radio (USA).
In fact, there is still nothing to indicate the former champion's return. Out of action since November 2015 when she was knocked out by Holly holm and lost the division belt, Ronda gave no indication of when her next fight would be. Interestingly, the category belt has been rotating from hand to hand after Rousey's “exit”. Holm was finished by Miesha Tate, who also lost by submission to the Brazilian Amanda nunes, both in their first title defenses.
