The Brazilian Patricky Pitbull Freire This Saturday, in Atlanta, in the United States, he will compete in the final of the Bellator lightweight tournament. The athlete from Rio Grande do Norte will measure forces against the North American Michael chandler and seeks his first international achievement in his career. The fight will be one of the attractions of the 44th edition of the show, which features as its main attraction the combat of Hector Lombard, the organization's middleweight champion, who will face Hawaiian Falaniko Vitale, in a duel that will not be valid for the belt.
To reach the grand final, Pitbull, who has a professional record of nine wins and one loss, eliminated Rob McCullough in the quarterfinals, in March, and favorite Toby Imada in the semifinals, in a duel that took place in April. Chandler, who is undefeated in his career with nine wins, got past Marcin Held in the quarterfinals and Lloyd Woodard in the semifinals to reach the decider.
The winner of the tournament, in addition to pocketing a prize of US$100 (around R$165), will have the chance to fight for the lightweight belt against current champion Eddie Alvarez.
