UFC Fight Night 93, an event that takes place this Saturday (03), in Germany, did not start well for Brazil. In the opening fight of the show, Leandro Buscapé was defeated by Russian Rustam Khabilov in the judges' decision, while Leandro Issa couldn't stand Taylor Lapilus' game and also lost by decision.

The fight between Buscapé and Khabilov was marked by a lot of study and little action. Right at the beginning of the fight, Leandro landed a low kick on Khabilov, who retaliated with a right cross into the void. Rustam followed Leandro's steps and had control of the center of the octagon, while the crowd booed a few times. The best moment of the first round was in the final minute, when Buscapé landed a right left that rocked the Russian. Afterwards, he took the Russian to the ground, but was swept and ended the round below his opponent.

Khabilov returned for a more active second round, cornering his opponent against the fence, who provoked him to dodge with his guard down. Buscapé was doing well in the fight and connected with some jabs, but a takedown applied by the Russian in the final stretch was decisive in securing the round in his favor.

The third round started with Khabilov looking for the takedown, which was well defended by the Brazilian. After insisting so much, Rustam put the Brazilian on the ground and controlled the actions. In the end, Buscapé got up and also tried to take the fight to the ground, but blocked the Russian's defense.

In the end, the three judges gave a unanimous decision victory to Khabilov, who challenged Brazilian Edson Barbosa in the post-fight interview. “I don’t know what lies ahead. I would like to face Edson Barboza ou Anthony Pettis”, he asked in the octagon. In the UFC, the Russian won five times and lost two. Buscapé, in turn, lost his second in a row and now has three wins, three losses and one fight without result.

The second Brazilian to take action at UFC Hamburg, Leandro Issa did not have a good performance and was dominated by Taylor Lapilus. With the defeat, Brodinho, as he is known, suffers the second setback in a row.

The fight started with Taylor Lapilus attacking the Brazilian as soon as the referee authorized the start of the fight. Leandro managed to control his opponent's momentum and attempted a single leg takedown, which was well defended by the Frenchman. Then, Lapilus connected good blows on the Brazilian, who shook and was almost knocked out, but resisted. At the end of the round, Issa looked for the takedown again, without success.

The second round started in a similar way to the first, with Taylor taking the action and attacking the Brazilian. At an intense pace, the Frenchman struck his opponent, who did little. Brodinho tried anyway to take the fight to the ground, where he would theoretically have an advantage over his opponent. However, Lapilus had done his homework and kept the fight going.

In the last round, Leandro, aware that he needed to quicken his pace to emerge victorious, took his rival to the cage and tried to take his back, but was unsuccessful. He then applied a rotating elbow, without causing any major damage to the Frenchman. Lapilus kept putting pressure on and looking for the knockout. Leandro, brave, resisted until the horn sounded, but saw the victory go to his opponent by unanimous decision of the judges (30×27, 30×27, 29×28).

Lapilus won his third in four fights, while Leandro now has three losses in five fights in Ultimate. Without winning since 2014, the Brazilian is in a delicate situation in the organization
