Diaz says he won't fight again until trilogy with McGregor

North American says Irish rival wouldn't make a wise decision if he accepted any other fight next

Defeated in rematch against Conor McGregor last Saturday (20), in the main fight of UFC 202, Nate diaz assured that he will not return to the octagon before fighting a third duel against the Irishman.

The athletes staged a mind-boggling fight in Las Vegas (USA), and McGregor won in a tight decision from the judges. Now, the rivalry score is tied, since, in the first duel, Diaz won by submission.

This time, Diaz wants a rematch and, if necessary, is willing to step away from fights until that happens. “I’m not going to do sh*t until we go to round 3. You won’t see me until then. If you want to score as quickly as possible, let’s go,” he said, according to the website of the North American broadcaster “FOX Sports”.

The North American believes that his rival should consider the trilogy. “I don't think it would be a good business decision if he accepted any other fight. He’s a businessman, so let’s see what happens,” he opined.

However, UFC president Dana White stated that the chances of there being a third duel immediately are slim. The manager revealed that he would prefer to see McGregor return to his original category, the featherweights, and defend his belt.
