The UFC changed plans for the fight between Demian Maia e Carlos Condit. The fight was moved to be the main fight of UFC on FOX 21, an event that will take place on August 27, in Vancouver, Canada.
The duel was originally scheduled to be part of the UFC 202 card, a week earlier, in Las Vegas (USA). The change means that the fight could go to five rounds, not three, as it is a main fight of the night.
At 38 years old, Demian is on a five-fight win streak in the welterweight division, including recent triumphs over Neil Magny, Gunnar Nelson and Matt Brown. Condit, six years younger, lost his last fight to Robbie Lawler, category champion, in a fierce fight.
UFC on FOX 21 will also feature the debut of Anthony Pettis in the featherweight category, against Charles of the Bronx, and the return of paige vanzant in front of Bec Rawlings.
