After a huge mess last Sunday (3), Brazilian Jéssica 'Bate-Estaca' Andrade decided to speak out and deny the accusations that came to light in the last few hours. Accompanied by two teammates and her coach Gilliard 'Paraná', leader of the Paraná Vale Tudo gym, the UFC athlete was stopped during a police check in the city of Rio das Ostras, in Rio de Janeiro, when the group was heading to a Jiu-Jitsu championship. The police reportedly discovered that the vehicle was stolen and everyone present in the car was taken to a police station. However, the Brazilian ended up denying the story.

Through an official note published in a social network, she was not taken to the police station at any time and it was all just a misunderstanding. Furthermore, Jessica also warned that she will take legal action against some of the press who 'planted and spread the false news'.

“It is with sadness that I come to clarify the false facts reported by the media about me yesterday. As in all areas, there are good and bad professionals, as was reported in several media outlets that did not seek the truth about my arrest in a stolen car case. I make it clear that this never happened. On that date, I didn't even step into a police station for any reason. As for my master Gilliard Paraná's visit to a police station, just for clarification, everything has been resolved and all misunderstandings involving his name have been resolved, highlighting the support and affection I have for him as well as total confidence in his character. This part of the media that planted and published this false news will be notified by my legal advisor and all necessary measures will be taken. I thank the noble part of the press that does serious work and investigates all the facts before reporting them, to all the fans for all the messages of affection and support. I don't think I knew that I was so loved by the public, that it was fundamental for them to give me so much love and affection. Thank you so much,” he wrote.

At 24 years old, Jessica “Bate Estaca” Andrade is one of the main promises of Brazilian MMA in the women's category. With 14 wins and five losses in her career, the Brazilian debuted in the strawweight category, defeating the former category challenger Jessica penne via TKO at UFC 199 in an impressive performance.
