Coming from victory over Vitor belfortIn May, Jacaré criticized both Anderson and Henderson for challenging the champion. “I think they are taking a bigger step than they can take”, analyzed the Brazilian, in an interview with the website of the “Combate” channel. “Everyone wants to work, wants a place in the sun, but there is no way Anderson can fight in front of me for the title, it's impossible. He has a weird record lately. He’s a guy I admire a lot, he swam for years, but currently he’s not in any position to fight for the belt”, he said.
The words for Henderson were even harsher. “It doesn’t make any sense, the Dan Henderson he beat a dwarf who was coming from doping [Hector Lombard], who fought in the 77kg division. There is no chance of him fighting for the belt. It's a joke! The UFC is an event that works to make money, not lose. I come from great performances, good results, I don't need to do this circus that the guys are doing to fight for the belt. I showed in the Octagon that I’m next,” he added.
The UFC has not yet commented on the definition of Bisping's next challenger for the belt. In addition to Henderson, Anderson and Jacaré, the former champions Chris Weidman e Luke Rockhold they also asked for a chance.
