A bizarre scene marked the weigh-in at the URCC MMA event, held in the Philippines last week. After stepping off the scale, local athlete Kiko Matos sprayed a yellow liquid in the face of his rival, Baron Geisler, saying it was his urine.

After the weigh-in, the athletes stared at each other and exchanged insults. Matos then took the bottle and splashed the liquid on Geisler, who continued teasing, saying “splash your love on me”.
The episode provoked adverse reactions among those present, but it was all just a joke. Matos revealed shortly afterwards that the liquid was, in fact, beer. The event organizer confirmed: “I would never allow such a sick attitude from any of our fighters, even if it was an exhibition fight. If it was really urine it would be unacceptable, and I would have disqualified Kiko”, declared Alvin Aguilar.
Matos and Geisler are two actors who were involved in a bar fight in May, and used the MMA event to resolve their differences. The fight, however, was for real, and ended in a draw after two rounds of fighting. After the duel, the two reconciled.
